The best flash fiction in THE WORLD

This will be a one hundred work anthology of some of the best new flash fiction from Australia and around the world.

Submitted pieces should be from 0 to 1000 words in length. Horror, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Dark Realism and anything in between. Award winners and reprints are welcome.

The anthology will be produced by iconic cult publishers Paroxysm Press.

The submission period is now open and will remain so until the editor has 100 brilliant works and that announcement is made.

When submitting; apply standard ms format. We prefer 12 pt Times New Roman font. Three character indent for paragraphs, including first paragraph. Underline for italics. Oxford English spellings (colour not color etc). Double quotation marks for dialogue. Single quotation marks for quotes and ‘stressed’ words. Otherwise, refer to the Oxford style manual. Please send stories as Word.doc or RTF files.

Payment is in contributor’s copies.

Please send up to three flashes to paroxysm@paroxysmpress.com

If you think that you can hurl literary lightning bolts, we want to read you.

One hundred writers, one hundred outstanding flashes of brilliant plasma – each captured in the mason jar of this volume.

From the editor: ‘I am the lightning collector. The lid is off the jar. Come thee and fork lightning…’
